Related: Things You Never Knew About The Development Of Dead Space While roaming the halls of Dead Space and seeking out these items is great in its own right, it's very much probable that players might want to avoid any issues or annoyances that stem from a lack of these resources and the boredom involved in attaining the same. So, it's only a given that players would want to acquire as many Power Nodes as possible. It's a critical resource that can be used to either upgrade the player's inventory or unlock rooms that feature a whole bunch of goodies. These items are critical to ensure that players end up surviving the dangerous trek through the USG Ishimura. It is the third game in the franchise.Any person who plays Dead Space will quickly realize just how important Power Nodes really are. So what does the developer do? They shoe horn it in their game the easiest and most uncreative way possible by using the mic instead of the camera features.Ĭome on guys, try a little harder. So why do it now with the Kinect? Because MS is encouraging developers to do so, probably as part of a deal for free advertising on live. But no we didn't do that because it is retarded. Worse, the Xbox 360 uses a mic that people use with xbox live already so really why have a Kinect if you can just support this feature with mic that probably more people have from their Xbox Live kits they bought 7 years ago? If people were really interested in yelling commands at the TV it would have been supported on the mic for most games. Not only that but it's been done by plenty of games before starting way way back with PS2 games like SOCOM. Using the Kinect for shouting commands at the game is the weakest, lamest, most uncreative way to use the Kinect.
